Retargeting pixels

Add ad pixels to links, what visitors see, consent statistics and server-side events.

What a pixel does

A pixel tells an ad network (Meta, Google, TikTok, Yandex, LinkedIn, VK) that someone opened your link, so you can show ads to that audience later or count conversions. At URLY you enter only the pixel ID; URLY loads the vendor's official script itself. Custom code cannot be added.

Adding pixels

Owners and administrators add pixels under Dashboard → Pixels. Tick “Add to new links automatically” to make a pixel the workspace default. Editors attach pixels to a single link on the link's page → Pixels (up to 8 per link).

What visitors see

A link with pixels opens through a short page in Russian, Uzbek or English that names the services and offers “Allow and continue” or “Continue without trackers”. The visitor can ask to remember the choice for 180 days. Without JavaScript, with Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the visitor is redirected at once with no tracker. Bots and link-preview crawlers skip the page.

Statistics

The link's statistics show how often the consent page was shown, how many visitors allowed or declined, and how often each pixel actually loaded. The consent rate is the share of visitors asked who allowed the trackers.

Server-side events

On Business and above, Meta and GA4 pixels can also receive the visit from URLY's server (Meta Conversions API, GA4 Measurement Protocol). It is sent only after the visitor allowed trackers; Meta receives the visitor's IP address and browser string, which URLY keeps encrypted for at most 24 hours and then deletes. The token or API secret is stored encrypted.

Your responsibilities

You decide which pixels to use and you are responsible for the vendors' terms and for informing your audience. Pixels make the redirect a little slower for people who allow them; links without pixels are not affected. For your own brand, use a custom domain so vendor cookies are not shared with other URLY customers.
